Members at Prestonwood Country Club enjoy the widest array of golf amenities and services in the Triangle including 54 holes of championship golf, a new state-of-the-art indoor golf learning center, and recently renovated green complexes by Rick Robbins, a Jack Nicklaus protégé.

Our Courses
All three golf courses are featured in the top 100 in North Carolina by the NC Golf Panel. Our Highlands course took top honors with a #27 ranking. The Meadows and Fairways took subsequent honors at No. 55 and No. 91. Our Highlands course recently transitioned from bentgrass to bermudagrass greens.

Our Learning Center
Our membership enjoys a state-of-the-art Indoor Learning Center featuring interior and exterior hitting bays with video monitoring capabilities and the latest equipment in golf training aid. Our facility employs top golf instructors who provide a unique, multidisciplinary and personalized approach with proven results to lower golf scores and improve an individual's overall game.



The SAS Championship
Proud host of the SAS Championship, an official PGA TOUR Champions Tour annual event featuring the top golfers in the world over the age of 50. This nationally televised event hosts the legends of golf as they compete for a $2.1 million purse. Proceeds from the event benefit youth education including the YMCA of the Triangle. 


Our Associations
Prestonwood Country Club offers a number of golf associations for the whole family including men's and women's, senior men's and junior associations. The purpose of these associations is to organize opportunities for social interaction and to encourage play. 


Our Junior Golf Program
The Prestonwood Junior Golf Program (PJGA) offers programs ranging from classes, camps, clinics, and tournaments and has a rich tradition of great junior golfers including over a dozen current collegiate golfers. Family Tees have been added to our Fairways course creating a short par-3 course for our younger players. 


Our Practice Facilities
Our industry-leading practice facilities are strategically dispersed around the clubhouse and conveniently accessible to all three of our golf courses. Our facilities include over 17,000 sq. ft. of putting surfaces, a large driving range with over 30 bays, three practice bunkers for green side sand and full iron practice, as well as chipping and pitching areas for short-game practice.


Our Pro Shop
Our fully stocked Pro Shop offers golfers a place to browse the latest in golfing gear and consult with our professionals. We carry the most sought-after brands in clubs, apparel, shoes, and accessories. The Pro Shop also offers top-notch club repair.

Our Golf Professionals
Members have access to five PGA Golf Class A Professionals and three Assistant Professionals allowing specialized attention for our members including individual lessons, club repair, on-course strategy sessions, competitions, etc.
Our Architects
Original golf course architect Tom Jackson, a Robert Trent Jones protege, designed over 75 golf courses in the Southeast including the dramatic Cliffs of Glassy Golf Club - one of Golf Digest's top four most scenic courses in America. Our recent green complex renovation was completed by Jack Nicklaus protege Rick Robbins, former President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) and named one of the Most Influential Figures in Golf by the NC Golf Panel.
